Rainbow

(Last half of the 10:45 a.m. service)

Rainbow is a program for children 2nd grade and under. After the Children's Story, these children are excused from the regular worship service to attend Rainbow. They are met at the front of the church and led to a classroom (Room 204) where they are served a snack and hear a Bible story. The stories use active participation to involve the children as they follow the gospel lesson for the day. Crafts or other hands-on activities also reinforce the story. The children are picked up from the Rainbow room by a parent after the service.

Nursery

A nursery is available for infants and children through 3 years at all worship services as well as for many of the church programs.

Sunday Morning Church School

First United Methodist Church is committed to Christian Education! We take seriously Jesus' mandate to "Go teach." We offer a variety of classes for all ages and interests.

The purpose of Christian Education as stated in the Foundation: Shaping the Ministry of Christian Education in Your Congregation is:
"Through Christian education we invite people and communities of faith to be transformed as they are inspired and challenged to know and experience God through Jesus Christ, claim and live God's promises, and grow and serve as Christian disciples."
